My art confronts the uncomfortable emotions we carry—trauma, grief, fury, resentment, betrayal, and despair. After more than a decade away from painting, I return transformed by these emotions. This current series, Life’s Fractures, stands inside the wreckage and refuses to look away. These works are not meditations, but confrontations. Unresolved wounds, deception, manipulation, and the uncomfortable truth that pain does not always heal, resolve, or follow a linear path. Some pain can be repaired; some we simply learn to live with.
I paint because language fails, because the mind remembers every wound, and because silence doesn’t protect. By giving form to what has lived in silence, I believe art can create connection in the darkest places we share. Grief, rage, betrayal, and despair are not ours alone—they are part of the human experience. When we bring these buried truths into the light, we give ourselves and others permission to be seen, heard, and understood. There is power in that recognition, and strength in our shared vulnerability.
I am a second-generation Nevada native. I create abstract paintings, often heavily textured, depicting emotions arising from life’s most impactful moments. My process is intuitive and I frequently work on multiple pieces at a time.
When not painting, you can find me enjoying time with friends & family, reading and enjoying local trails.
